Renovation proposal in Brescia: an old hillside residence reimagined as a restaurant. We retained the existing structure and worked with its original proportions, openings, and material character, treating the project as a careful reuse rather than a rebuild. The aim was to give the house a new rhythm and atmosphere for dining while keeping the memory of the residence intact. Interventions were kept precise: improving circulation, organising service areas quietly, and shaping dining rooms around the existing spatial bones. The site sits on a hill above Brescia, with direct views across the city. We treated this vantage as the project’s main asset, turning the edge of the plot into a continuous balcony-like experience. Key seating areas and moments of pause were oriented to the view, so the city becomes the backdrop to the meal, shifting from daylight to night as part of the restaurant’s ambience. The result is a place that feels familiar but renewed: a restrained architectural upgrade that lets structure, landscape, and view carry the new identity.
